Final Proposal

For my final, I couldn't chose just one topic, so I came up with a couple proposals.

Option One- I plan to further explore the classic Hollywood lighting style, but put a modern twist on it. I plan to keep the lighting and poses the same, but put modern clothing and make up styles on the models. I've also considered shooting them in modern locations, so not just the studio.  This subject interests me because I've always felt like I was born in the wrong time, the 40s-60s fascinated me. Things were so much simpler then, and even though they still followed the phrase of "sex sells", it was a classier sexy.

Inspiration-
I've looked into a couple places for inspiration. George Hurrell is a fantastic photographer and the lighting he does is amazing.

Option Two- Another option I came up with was to do nature photography. I've always enjoyed photographing nature because it is what it is. It doesn't try to be something its not, what you see is what you get. I like the simple beauty of it all.

For inspiration I looked at Imogen Cunningham's work. 

Option Three- I've also been interested in trying something different, like silhouette photography. I thought maybe I could combine this with my interest in nature photography and come up with something like this.

I wasn't sure of any photographers who had done this already so I just googled some examples.

Part 1- Light and shoot ceramics and post the photographs to the blog.

Part 2- Light and shoot food photographs and post them on the blog. Print and matte them for class.

Checkout a dyna kit and photography STRANGERS, using ambient light and the light kits. Post on the blog and bring 6 matted images to class for critique.
